Who We Are
Chi Alpha is a ministry to students on the university campus. We believe in making a space to allow the Holy Spirit to bring people together in community. Chi Alpha desires to be a help to every college student allowing Jesus to change us all and growing together as we make disciples who make disciples.
WHAT WE DO
ONE ON ONE DISCIPLESHIP Everyone belongs and matters and we value each individual and desire to invest and help each person grow in their personal relationships with God and others.
SMALL GROUPS: Our small groups meet together to pray, discuss the Bible and its application to our lives and grow in relationship with God and one another.
AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY: We are more than a ministry - we are a family. We love to have fun, eat food, and do life together. Join us for a family dinner, fall & winter retreats, or a backyard bonfire.
MISSIONS ORIENTED: Missions are a big deal to us. Missions is not something we do but a way of life. We live missions. We offer international and a US missions trip options during the academic year. We want to be obedient to when God calls us to help the Nations know His hope- We support and send missionaries all over the world.

It is our desire to introduce UWLAX students to a relationship with Jesus Christ by:

Justin & Tralese Strachan
UW-LA CROSSE CHI ALPHA DIRECTORS
Justin and Tralese are Wisconsin natives growing up in the Fox Valley and Central Wisconsin areas. Justin worked in Chi Alpha for over 10 years at UW Oshkosh Chi Alpha. Tralese previously was a Children’s Pastor at various churches throughout Wisconsin. They met when Tralese joined the Chi Alpha staff at UWO in 2017. They both love discipling people and helping them understand Jesus more!
